Finance food kits thanks to Jumia and Monisnap
"The only route that offers any hope of a better future for all is one of the co-operation, and partnership. » (Kofi Annan).
Le projet
Update : New partner for the campaign !! AMF is supporting the initiative !

The project aims at financing food kits for people in need in Morocco to help them go through the crisis. We naturally partnered with Chef4Good acting everyday to support fragile populations.

How does it work ?
- Jamaa collects funds on its crowdfunding platform specialized in humanitarian projects
- Monisnap transfers collected funds to Jumia without any fee
- Jumia buys food kits and delivers them to Chef4Good which transforms food kits into delicious meals
- Chef4Good distributes those meals to populations in need in Morocco
For example, a food kit contains the following essentials :
- Flour
- Oil
- Pasta
- Tomatoes
- Couscous
- Rice
- Honey
- Coffee

Le contexte
The Covid crisis strongly impacts remittance flows. The World Bank foresees a 20% decrease for 2020 and the World Food Program fears that 130 million more people will be on the brink of starvation by the end of the year. We believe solidarity is necessary in these times of crisis and we built a very easy and transparent way for everyone to help!
Le porteur de projet
Monisnap is a french money transfer operator whose mission is to help people support their loved ones abroad. Monisnap offers cash remittance and air time topup. We are convinced of the social impact of remittances, of course to families but also more widely financial flows that come back to fuel the continent's projects. That's why we were the first money transfer operator to add a micro donation feature on each transaction through a partnership with RemitFund.
In this tense period, we wanted to go further and use our technological assets and current partnerships to help everyone support the African continent during Covid crisis. Together with Jumia we build a fully transparent value chain for each donator to make sure its euros are channelled to those in need in Morocco.
Budget
All funds will be directed to finance food kits. Costs are supported by Monisnap !
A kit costs about 20€.
Jamaafunding agreed not to charge its usual 3.5% commission for the use of the platform.
Monisnap covers the 3.5% acquisition cost ( when donators pay by card) as well as the costs to send money to Morocco.
